MERLOT defines a learning material as "any digital entity designed to meet a specific learning outcome that can be reused to support learning".
Learning materials in the MERLOT Engineering collection come in a variety of shapes and sizes. Many have peer reviews attached. They are organized into sub-disciplines within engineering and range from small single-purpose online calculators to extensive collections of reference materials.
